For long the citizens of Shengxiao have suffered the spell of the great Goddess Xiao, in retribution to the sins of their ancestors. Destined to always be Xiao's faithful servents, the inhabitants of this cursed city transform into the creatures they are bound to on every night of a pre-determined month, deeming them as "unacceptable" to society outside of their home.
However, not all are so accepting of their existance...
Known as the Sheng, they wish to rise against Xiao, and cut her from the equation altogether. Lead by the mysterious renegade of the Cat Clan, Salix, the Sheng desire to place Xiao back into her place as a Goddess, rather than an overlord, and reclaim their fates for themselves.
Should you allign with the Sheng, and struggle for your own freedoms, or would you gather with Xiao, and protect your Goddess as you know fit? Or, shall you weave your own story in... Sheng Xiao: Tale Of The Zodiac

SHENGXIAO CITY
North Shengxiao The northernmost district of Shengxiao City, better known as North SX. This is a high class area of Shengxiao, where the wealthy and influential live and play. Prices are high here, nearly as high as the haughty attitudes of those who reside.
East Shengxiao The easternmost district of Shengxiao City, better known as East SX. This is a very traditional region of the city, with roots tracing back to the past and a great respect for history itself. Most root families live here, and many tales of the past whisper through these walls.

Central Shengxiao The central district of Shengxiao City, better known as Central SX. Here, people from all cultures can gather, as it retains the most prominent features of city life; shopping, law enforcement, and the hospital. It is the most busy section of SX City.

West Shengxiao The westernmost district of Shengxiao City, better known as West SX. Here, the darker side of SX city looms, where a state of near lawless exists. Criminals call this area home, and the scenery is all but run down into oblivion.

South Shengxiao The southernmost district of Shengxiao City, better known as South SX. This is the business district, where most labor is done. It is also a more residential area for the middle-class, average income families.

SHENGXIAO OUTSKIRTS
The Bellfield A large, beautiful field, the Bellfield is known for it's enchanted aura, and is said to bring good luck to those who ask for such upon it's grass. Many festivals are held here, in honor of many things.

Xiao's Temple A small, traditional temple, situated on the northernmost end of the Bellfield. For many, many centuries, it has played home to the elusive and shy Goddess Xiao. Those seeking her audience do best to find it here.
Spirit's Lake A mysterious, haunted lake, the Spirit's Lake is commonly avoided by the residents of Sheng Xiao; most especially during nightfall. Should a relative or loved one pass, tradition states you must release a stone inscribed with said relatives name into the waters.
